Maryland Property Division Lawyers
Dividing Your Property After Divorce
Whether you have acquired a home, retirement or stocks, if it was acquired during your marriage, it could be considered marital property. If it's marital, you might have to split the asset or property evenly.
This does not mean that all of your property is marital or that you will be forced to split your property. Maryland statutes provide several exceptions. If the property falls under one of these exceptions, Maryland law would permit you to keep the entire asset without claim from your spouse.
At The Law Offices of James E. Crawford, Jr. & Associates, LLC, we have years of experience providing individuals in Baltimore and throughout Maryland the high-quality representation they need through the divorce process.
